Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the studio space. Children under 16 years old cannot use any of the power tools or operate machinery at Woodwork Studio.

After each use, members are responsible for leaving the machinery clean and ready for other members to use. Every member using the facilities must leave their working area neat and clean. No debris is allowed to be left in the work areas; debris must be picked up by each member and thrown in the garbage container at the end of the day. Bathrooms are to be kept clean and neat at all times.
To ensure equipment availability, we strongly suggest that you reserve the equipment you will need when you reserve your studio time.

To meet the needs of our community of contractors, entrepreneurs and hobbyists, we offer two membership plans: Pro and Hobbyist.

Pro members always get priority use of equipment, machinery and tools. We recommend that our Hobbyist members reserve equipment for late-day hours and weekends, when demand is lower.
All studio rental time must be used within 30 days of purchase and must be scheduled at least two days in advance.
For the safety of our members, baggy and loose clothing is not allowed to be worn on premises. In addition, slippers are not allowed.
All members are required to behave respectfully, courteously, and professionally to their fellow members. Keep noise levels to a respectful minimum for the comfort and enjoyment of those in the immediate area. No loud music, tool use or other noise will be permitted in the open rental areas without the explicit permission of the members around you. Yelling, cursing, and abusive behavior is prohibited. In addition, use of illegal substances, drinking alcohol, and smoking is not allowed. No fumes or flames are permitted in unventilated areas. Sensual pictures or calendars, etc. are not permitted in the studio.
Removing safety guards from machinery is not allowed. The first offense will result in a warning and $100 fee. The second offense will result in a $500 fine. The third offense will result in the member being expelled without reimbursement for any paid fees or unused rents.
Are lockers available at Woodwork Studio? For the convenience of our members, tool lockers and wood storage racks are available for rent. Visit our Equipment page for details.
All Hobbyist members must attend an orientation on how to operate a table saw, planer, jointer, miter saw, belt saw, and lathe. Every Hobbyist member must then demonstrate their ability to operate these pieces of machinery correctly before being allowed to use them on their own.
All Pro and Hobbyist memberships include use of the following equipment:
- Bench with support counter
- Laminate glue spray counter
- Compressed air
- Power outlets
- 24-inch planer
- 8-inch joiner
- 3 HP 10-inch table saw
- Sliding miter saw
- Band saw
- Wide variety of rental equipment and add-on services*
Yes. One hundred screws, nails, or biscuits and 1 bottle of glue is supplied with the rental of associated equipment. Additional supplies may be purchased at Woodwork Studio.
No. Equipment is the property of Woodwork Studio Rentals and must remain on the premises.
Non-member guests are allowed on premises for the sole purpose of assisting in the handling and assembly of materials for a member’s project. Non-members are not permitted to use Woodwork Studio’s equipment or shared areas, or to interfere with other members. Guests and their actions are the sole responsibility of the host member.
